Environmental Protection

EHS is responsible for administering and monitoring the Environmental Protection program efforts at Howard University.

Our goal is to prevent and/or minimize environmental hazards and risks associated with campus activities.

We work closely with academic, research and other campus units to ensure that potential environmental hazards or risks are identified and that proper controls are in place before and during any campus activity.

Environmental Protection Services include:

• Environmental Compliance, Protection and Impact Assessments

These services also address pollution prevention measures and regulatory compliance by providing procedures for safely working with materials and designating preventative maintenance procedures.
